Dear Weswyn Roe,

My Why.

“They just haven’t made it yet…”

This started as a little saying between my memaw, Debra, and my mom, Amy.

My memaw would say it to my mom growing up whenever they were out shopping and couldn’t quite find the piece. You know when something is almost right—but not fully? That’s where it came from. They’d laugh, say “they just haven’t made it yet,” and move on.

Then came me…

I’ve always loved shopping, but it was nearly impossible for me to feel 100% satisfied with a purchase. Everything started to feel the same from store to store. Nothing felt truly unique—unless I found it thrifting (which I still love), or something would be off with the fit.

There was always something missing.

And every single time—

“they just haven’t made it yet.”

That’s what led me to start my first business, Western Gold, on October 1st, 2021.

I wanted to create a space where women could find pieces that felt different—pieces you don’t see everywhere, pieces that actually make you feel something when you put them on.

And I still love that part.

I love the hunt. I love finding something special. I still get excited about every piece I bring in for you—that will never change.

But over time, I started to notice something.

Even with all the beautiful pieces out there, I was still searching for that one thing I couldn’t quite find.

And I realized… I didn’t just want to find the pieces anymore—

I wanted to create them too.

Design has always been part of the plan from day one. But I couldn’t keep building that vision under a name that no longer felt like where I was going.

So Weswyn Roe was born on October 1st, 2025.

It’s where my eye for sourcing meets my vision for designing. Where every piece—whether found or created—is chosen with intention.

Because at the end of the day, this has always been about one thing:

Creating the pieces we’ve all been looking for…

even if you didn’t have the words for it yet.

Because maybe the reason you couldn’t find it—

is because it just hadn’t been made yet.

The Vision

I am selling out my current stock. Yes, meaning every piece will be out of stock and won’t return. Please note: we are very limited at this time, so whatever you see, GRAB it. It won’t be there for long.

I am working behind the scenes on designing Weswyn Roe’s first exclusive collection… actually, pinch me. We are in the sampling process now, making sure every piece is perfect and meeting your every struggle with shopping.

  • The fabric: all natural. We are striving to make every piece with natural fibers only, even down to the stitching, labels, and dyes.

  • The fit: every measurement you can think of will be available for you. You will be confident in selecting your size. We are also working hard to make sure the fit is flattering to women’s figures. We want feminine, flattering silhouettes.

  • The style: I don’t know about you, but I am exhausted by trends and boring styles. I am creating unique, collectible pieces that are small-batched. These styles and collections are also engineered to bring you lots of looks out of one style. They also work with common items you may already have.

We are shooting to drop Weswyn Roe Designs August 2026. So be ready!

The Founder

Emily Crow

When people ask me why I started this business, it’s always been hard for me to answer.

On the surface, I usually say I love fashion—and I’ve always known I would be an entrepreneur. Which is true.. but there’s more to that.

I’ve been creating, designing, and building businesses for as long as I can remember. From selling things at school (definitely got me in trouble a time or two..) to pinning sheets around my friends and calling myself a "fashion designer". Just always creating things and keeping my Mother on her toes.

Right after high school, I decided to launch my first (legal) business. I remember sitting in my boyfriend’s room—now my husband, John Crow—and deciding on my boutique’s name. It came to me so organically: Western Gold.

I was fearless. I did all the research, mapped out my business plan, and got everything legal within two months of the idea.

I launched on October 1st, 2021, at a local pop-up event called First Monday. I made $1.2K in sales my very first day, and I was ready for more. It was the best feeling ever.

I finally got the courage to post on social media. I was very blessed to go viral a few times and get my online sales going pretty consistently, to the point where I was able to stop doing pop-up events all over and focus solely online.

Something began to shift in my spirit while I was at my peak with Western Gold. I was changing and growing in ways I couldn’t ignore. My values were shifting, and my standards for myself and my brand were higher than ever.

I began to reflect on what I truly wanted out of this business and out of life. The crazy thing is… I knew it would be a setback, but I didn’t care. So I went back to the drawing board.

What is missing? How can I make a difference? Where is this brand going to be in 10 years?

I decided to change my name from Western Gold to Weswyn Roe and fully map out the branding before beginning to create Weswyn Roe pieces. Designing my own collection had always been part of the original vision. It just got lost and pushed back.

In 2025, I got married and decided to rebrand all in the same year. 2025 taught me more about life than all of my 22 years combined, but I wouldn’t change a single thing. The knowledge and wisdom I gained through that difficult season was essential to who I am becoming. I am truly enjoying watching my life unfold, I have a new sense of gratitude in everything thrown my way. It is why the quote "Everything happens for a reason." is so powerful.

Thrift

Antique Lover

Thrifting is one of my favorite pastimes—there’s something special about bringing home someones lost treasures and giving them new life. I love the process of repurposing what already exists and letting each piece tell a new story.

The Small Things

What I Enjoy Outside of Weswyn Roe
  • I’m a big believer in natural, holistic living.
  • I don’t drink coffee for the caffeine—it’s purely for the ritual.. I stay looking forward to my morning routine.
  • Thrifting for vintage treasures is one of my favorite pastimes (I always wonder who loved it before me).
  • I live for my family and would do anything for them.
  • At 12, I was bitten by a copperhead snake —a wild story I’ll never forget.
  • I was diagnosed with celiac disease at age 10, which sparked my passion for food, wellness, and mindful eating.
  • I love cooking—if I wasn’t in fashion, I might’ve been a chef or nutritionist.
  • Pilates is my go-to workout, I’m definitely a low impact girly. I also enjoy long walks to escape from reality.
  • I’m a bit of a homebody—because I love being surrounded by the things (and people) I’ve chosen to invest in.

This is only the beginning of a new era for Weswyn Roe. I know God has a plan for both you and me—and I’m deeply thankful you’re here to be part of it.
